FTC Disclosure

You may be aware of the new FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requirements that went into force on December 1st 2009. These guidelines compel marketers like us to make a full disclosure when we are compensated for the recommendations we make.

Affiliate marketing is performance-based marketing; companies need help selling more of their products or services, and only have to pay when they actually make a sale.

Now who are they paying? They’re paying bloggers, podcasters, vloggers, and other online content creators like you and me. For me, it’s a way to earn money helping you discover the products and services that may help you in your business.

You can assume that most of the links and product recommendations on this site are affiliate links and we will get paid a commission should you sign up or buy anything from the recommended site. (Thank you for that!)

While I try not to let this monetary relationship sway my recommendations, it’s something you should be aware of on this site and others online.

As always, you should do your own due diligence before making any purchase decision.

However you may feel comforted by the fact that we wouldn’t recommend any site that doesn’t offer you good value. And the price you pay via our links is exactly the same as going direct to the vendor.

Please consider this notice our “full disclosure” that we are paid affiliates.
