BEFORE JOINING any online/offline money making opportunity, MLM, HYIP, RevShare, Cycler, Matrix, Information or Digital product etc. do your own due diligence and research the company/individual(s) you’re interested in doing business with.

It could save you a whole lot of grief and money in the long run!

Phone – The company or individual should have at the very least, a listed telephone number and be available during normal business hours.

Address – Check if there is a physical address.

Check Their Support. Contact them by sending an email or submit a help desk support ticket stating your interest and and see how long a response takes and how the response is handled.

Unrealistic Income Claims – Avoid home based business opportunity sites that make unrealistic income claims such as “Earn $10,000 in 30 days.” Realistically, home based businesses take months if not years to generate any substantial levels of income.

Money Back Guarantees – Look for guarantees on the site but be sure to read the guarantee carefully. Talk is cheap! Scammers will promise you your money back if you’re not satisfied, but they won’t deliver on their promises. Don’t expect a money-back guarantee to protect you. Some people will try to sell you a get-rich-quick scheme, but 99% of them are scams.

Domain Ownership – Look up the domain name on a free WHOIS checker. There you can check registration details. A red flag could be if the own has chosen to keep the domain ownership private.

Feedback – Ask other online marketers for feedback on social networks, forums and Skype group chats.

Use Your Head! – If it were really possible to earn $1,000 a week working 20 minutes per day, wouldn’t everybody be doing it?

The old adage still holds true: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Check Google – Type in the company name in Google. If people have been scammed, they are very quick to broadcast that fact online on forums and blogs.

Review Testimonials – Scrutinize carefully any testimonials. Are the photographs too professional? Are the reviews too good to be true? Chances are they may be false.

Take your time before signing up for anything. There are some legitimate online home-business opportunities. Keep your eyes open. You will soon be able to distinguish between the scams and the legitimate businesses.
